Our League Predictor | Round 8

It's Round 8 and it's time to get those all-important score predictions in on the Our League Predictor Game!

This week sees Rugby League legend Robbie Hunter-Paul, who famously captained Bradford Bulls in their 2003 treble winning year, give his predictions heading into week eight, as fans continue to Go up against the Pros in 2024.

Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants

There's a tasty West Yorkshire derby on the cards, as Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants go head-to-head in Round 8.

It's set to be a thrilling contest, as the Rhinos will look to return to winning ways, having a had a week out to freshen up - and should be raring to go on Friday.

Likewise, Huddersfield, who produced a phenomenal performance to knock cup favourites Catalans out of the Challenge Cup competition, will be aiming for another win away from home.

Who are you backing?

Robbie Hunter-Paul's prediction: Huddersfield Giants

Our League member predictions: Rhinos: 60%, Giants: 39%, Draw/Golden Point: 1%

Wigan Warriors v Castleford Tigers

Wigan Warriors have won each of their last eight Super League matches against Castleford Tigers by an average margin of 22 points, restricting the Tigers to just six points scored or fewer in each of their last three meetings.

The Warriors cruised past the Tigers 6-60 in last week's Challenge Cup quarter-final tie, racking up a total of twelve tries.

With home advantage this week, a place where Matt Peet?s men currently remain unbeaten in 2024, will the Champions record back-to-back wins over a struggling Castleford?

Robbie Hunter-Paul's prediction: Wigan Warriors

Our League member predictions: Warriors: 97%, Tigers: 3%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

St Helens v Hull FC

St Helens will be seeking retribution on Friday night, following an extremely disappointing Challenge Cup exit at the hands of Warrington Wolves.

This means Hull FC could feel the full brunt of St Helens' fury, as the Saints will turn their eyes back to Super League for the remainder of the season.

The Black and Whites have experienced a lot of upheaval heading into this Round 8 fixture and find themselves just one win from seven.

St Helens have won 14 of their last 15 Super League matches against Hull FC, although interestingly, the one they lost was last season at the MKM Stadium...

Robbie Hunter-Paul's prediction: St Helens

Our League member predictions: Saints: 97%, Hull FC: 3%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

Warrington Wolves v Leigh Leopards

Warrington Wolves have been sensational in 2024 and will be looking to continue this fine form when they take on Leigh Leopards.

Sam Burgess' men will be seeking another two points, whilst Leigh will want to avoid a three successive league defeat.

It is Warrington who have won their last 13 home meetings with Leigh - will they make it 14 on Saturday, or will the Leopards be full of surprises?

Robbie Hunter-Paul's prediction: Warrington Wolves

Our League member predictions: Wolves: 92%, Leopards: 8%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

London Broncos v Salford Red Devils

London are at home in Round 8, but are still searching for their first win of the Super League season. Both teams have had a week out following the latest Challenge Cup round and will look to right their wrongs in this upcoming fixture.

Paul Rowley's men were the losing side in Round 7, defeated by Castleford Tigers at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle, in a match that saw the Tigers register their first win of 2024.

Could the same possibly happen with the Broncos?

Robbie Hunter-Paul's prediction: Salford Red Devils

Our League member predictions: Broncos: 5%, Red Devils: 95%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

Catalans Dragons v Hull KR

1st will play 4th on Saturday, as the Dragons have another home game on the bounce.

Similar to St Helens, Steve McNamara's men will be seething from their Challenge Cup exit last weekend, as a disappointing 6-34 loss to Huddersfield in Perpignan ended their unbeaten home run.

Within their focus now firmly on Super League, the Dragons will be determined to occupy top spot for another week, whilst Willie Peters' men will also want to keep doing what they're doing, as they search for a third consecutive league win.

The Robins' last away victory against the Dragons came in 2019, but they are currently flying high in Super League this year.

Who will come away with a crucial two points?

Robbie Hunter-Paul's prediction: Catalans Dragons

Our League member predictions: Dragons: 75%, Robins: 24%, Draw/Golden Point: 1%
